When Your Coverage Ends
Your benefit coverage automatically ends at 11:59 p.m. on your last day of employment (typically the day before your termination status).
After your coverage ends, you will receive a COBRA election notice by mail at your home address on file. This notice will come from the MyMedLife Benefits Center and will explain your rights to continue health coverage under COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1985).
What is COBRA?
COBRA allows you to continue your current health coverage for up to 18, 29, or 36 months, depending on your situation.
Once you receive your COBRA notice, you may elect to continue your existing benefit elections by paying the full monthly premium (employee and employer portions).
